There really is a way through this…

because despite how you feel it’s actually not what’s wrong with you, but what has happened to you…..

Understanding what happens to us following a trauma or the results of having lived in a ‘less than good enough’ environment is key in understanding the ongoing impact of trauma. Good trauma therapy understands this. What you ended up believing about yourself because of it and how you’ve carried that, inside your heart, to where you are now….

Here’s how I can help

I help young people and adults of all ages be heard, be seen and feel cared for. I strongly believe (along with some of the best therapists in the world) that it’s what has happened in our early relationships, or the absence of what should have happened, that cause the greatest damage to us as humans. Coming to understand what our brains do to survive such experiences can make all the difference in understanding the current struggle and ultimately heal.

I work with clients who have or have experienced:

  • Developmental Trauma

  • Complex Developmental Histories

  • Attachment Wounding - Absence of Nurture, Protection, Abuse

  • Traumatic Experiences

  • PTSD & Complex PTSD

My Style

I’m relational. It’s one of my biggest strengths. I like to connect with my clients and be fully present and engaged with them. I listen deeply. Because wounding happens in relationships, healing is also possible through relationships. I’m a sharer so helping clients understand what our brains need to feel safe and loved, and then experiencing that, is something I’m passionate about. And if one of our ‘four-legged’ equine friends can help with that deep understanding and connection, well, that is a special and deeply moving experience.

My clients say I help them…

  • Build Trusting Bonds

  • Find their voice

  • Grow in Confidence

  • Learn new ways
