EMDR Intensive Therapy

Deeper. Targeted. Transformative.

Apologies - I am currently not accepting new clients

it feels like you’ve been swimming through mud….

You’ve been struggling for years. Not much has helped.

You feel you’ve lost yourself along the way.  No-one gets what it’s like to be inside your head.  It’s always there in one way or another.   You feel at a loss for what to do.

You don’t have to do this alone.

Let’s work together towards the life you want. You and me.

Let’s starts this journey and make sense of what has happened.

And start to feel whole again…… or maybe it might be feeling whole for the very first time.

Hi, I’m Judy

I’m so glad you’re here. Its wordy I know, but if it’s helpful to put a label on what I do, well… I’m an Attachment Informed EMDR Psychotherapist. What this means is that I build a warm, non-judgemental, close relationship with my clients, exploring and seeking to repair the deep, often devastating impact of ‘far less than good enough’ childhood experiences, relationships and environments and soothing parts that feel limited. All the while unlocking the natural healing of the brain through the evidenced based power of EMDR.

(Please see ‘Can EMDR help me? in FAQ’s)

I deeply connect with people and listen to understand the wounding that has happened. I can help them in their journey to get relief from their traumatic past.

Here’s how I help

  • Individual Personalised Therapy Intensives

Healing Psychotherapy is the trusted partnership between an experienced supportive therapist and the brave client who has made the commitment to learn a new way of being. Andelain Therapy offers our clients a range of Intensive options either online or at our EMDR Therapy Retreat set in a beautiful valley 1 hr north of Melbourne. Grounded in the latest research, our personalised intensive program focuses on nurturing and transformation, offering relief and healing much faster compared with the common experience of protracted months of therapy. All whilst surrounded by the Valley of a 1000 hills amidst the gentle presence of horses and expert guidance.

  • EMDR

EMDR is a structured therapy that encourages the patient to focus briefly on the trauma memory while simultaneously experiencing bilateral stimulation (typically eye movements), which is associated with a reduction in the vividness and emotion associated with the trauma memories.

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an extensively researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover from trauma and PTSD symptoms.

I’d encourage you to look at 'Can EMDR help me? on our FAQ page and also to copy and paste the below video. It’s a great overview of EMDR as well as explaining how trauma impacts the brain.
